Ropotamo river and Sozopol

The excursion starts with a boat trip along Ropotamo River, which is famous with its beautiful water lilies.

Trip to Sozopol - the ancient city of Apolonia. One of the oldest Bulgarian coastal towns, situated 34 kilometers south of Bourgas on a slender rocky peninsula. This charming place is a popular tourist resort best known for its casual ambiance, two sandy beaches, and distinctive nineteenth-century stone and wood houses. A stroll along the Old town's twisting, narrow cobblestone lanes reveals a host of National Revival-era houses, their stone foundations and overhanging upper stories of weathered wood. Sea-facing Morski Skali and Milet streets are lined with small restaurants and cafes, ideal for taking in the views while digging into a plate of tasty locally-raised midi (mussels). Notable sights in the old town include the 17th-century Holy Virgin Church and the church of St.Zosim.

A walk through the meandering  streets of the old town and visit the church of "St. Mary" (18th-19th century) with magnificent carved iconostasis.

Free time and lunch.
Departure to Burgas - the 4-th largest city in Bulgaria, free time at the Mall "Burgas Plaza" or "Galleria".

Ropotamo Reservation

    The Ropotamo Reservation is situated at a distance of about 50 km south from Burgas, on the territory of the Municipality of Primorsko. It is situated around the two banks of Ropotamo river.

Sozopol

    The city of Sozopol is located on a scenic bay along the southern Bulgarian coast, about 35 km south of Burgas.

    Burgas is one of the largest cities in the country. It is situated on the Black Sea shore, in the Burgas Bay, at a distance of 400 km from Sofia and 130 km from Varna. Burgas is an administrative center.
